Here are SOME of the videos of Angi and Freedom at the Lynn Palm Women Luv Horses Supreme Horsewoman Contest.
The winner was CorrineElser and Dolly, followed by Wylene Wilson and Filthy Rich, Madelynn Wagner and Handy Hank, Jamie Thomas and Montego Magnifico de Durango, Janet Titus and Chato, and Sandy Anderson and Outback Jack.
Freedom was sore friday afternoon and I thought maybe he stepped off something wrong during one of the trail courses but when I was watching the conditioning vid I thought I saw him stepping "off" just before she trots him, then on the In hand course he trips over a log, then seems sore getting onto the bridge.. after that is when I noticed him having trouble going back down the hill to the barn.. but it looks like he may have been a little off from the start.

The judges told why they marked a horse up or down after the class. Angi was told Free was too camped out for his long back, his mane was uneven (guilty!) and that he was not as curious and alert as he should have been, also that his head was too low. In the MHF events quietness and manners had been a plus score. Jamie got marked up for ground tying from one judge.. Another marked her down saying it's a safety issue. LOL isn't that the way it goes sometimes? It was nice of the judges to each tell why they scored as they did because many of the girls do not normally show.
Angi and Freedom Trail
He stopped because he had just spotted the course reset girl in the shadows inside the rail, and shied when she stood up and moved into the sunlight. (I was not looking at the camera then obviously because all you see is trees and sky lol )
In Hand and Freestyle.
When he disappears in the freestyle and Angi laughs, he is mugging people on the rail looking for more Winnies cookies. The applause is because he sidepassed to her.
Those of you who know Freedom will probably get a kick out of his Freestyle antics, (I did) It was the most fun he had all weekend! Since he was sore she did most of it at liberty instead of just some, and then scratched him from the Equitation class.
By sunday morning he was sore in both shoulders and spent most of monday on the ground at home. He seems to have recovered fully and is happy to be back out with the herd.
Here are a few more of some of the other mustang trainers
Corrine and Dolly Freestyle (awesome!)
Jamie Trail Course
In Hand (1st Place GO Jamie!!) and Freestyle
I have all the Freestyles which I will upload eventually.. but ran out of HD space during the finals.. SORRY!
It was fun to see so many people we have met because Angi has done the EMM and WSMC. The people who participate are all dedicated (or soon become so) to promoting the wonderful things you can acomplish with mustangs. Most of the horses at the event were from the Western States event (wild in march 08) and Filthy Rich was at BLM until June 08.
Hopefully Angi will find time to tell you her thoughts and feelings of Freedoms adventure, but I finally got videos uploaded so.. I wanted to share them.
Freedoms still proud Aunt Kathy
