Time away

Since Angi was going to be at Lifesavers for Wild Horse Boot Camp, Prosperity went to Lifesavers Friday morning. It's only her second trip away from home, so she was a bit nervous on arrival, but Lifesavers has mustang strength pens, and alleyways which I imagine might remind her of a BLM facility.

The thought was that Angi could work with her after Boot Camp ended each day. That worked out great on Friday, and Prosperity got saddled for the second time.

Saturday night Jeremy Dunn brought Ojos. We ate Bar B Que, watched Jeremy ride Ojos, and Jeremy played with one of the boot camp horses. Prosperity was just hanging out in one of the outside round pens, listening to Blessing and Mouse playing "rival stud" running along their own sides of the fence line and thinking it was time to play herself. She was so beautiful with her neck arched and her tail a flag behind her, she wanted to go play with the herd. :D

By Sunday afternoon everyone was exhausted (We stayed on after the Bar B Que hoping a HUGE ex-PMU mare at Lifesavers would foal... but she didn't)

Mondays Lifesaver is closed, but horses still need to eat so, Angi slipped in to work with Prosperity and got a free ski tow thanks to Prosperity and a 22" line that wrapped around her leg. (She says it's the first time that has ever happened to her, and hopefully the last)

The best news is Prosperity, like Freedom has learned the word WHOA, so once Angi thought to say it.. took her about 10 feet I'm told; Prosperity stopped and looked back at her. I imagine seeing Angi land on her rump and sliding along the ground was not something Prosperity had been expecting to see out of the corner of her eye, but I'm thinking if she can drag her trainer without panicking... she could be dragging a lot of other things. :D
