creates a very sleepy Angi. Never the less, Prosperity and I have gotten several incredible sessions in and I still need to download the photos. We had one day of sacking out with the pad (still a little uncertain on that one) and me thinking that it sounded good to try a saddle also.
Wrong answer! Prosperity was not ready for that and let me know by blowing straight up into the air so I just focused on the pad. I spent one day trying to teach her to wear the tarp (not quite there either) and one day teaching her to drive over the tarp with the halter on. She spent alot of time in the air on that one too but the end of that session made a proud Angi and a horse who willingly walked over the tarp instead of jumped it. Boy can this girl move :0The last several days have been meeting the trailer and it has been quite an adventure. The first day we worked an hour until she could put her head in it. The second day took a little less time but still produced a wet Prosperity who is learning to be very soft on her halter indeed. Today was the big break through, she drove up to the trailer then put her front feet inside it. This, of course, took awhile, but she improved so much and hardly sweated at all.
I am still waiting for someone to want her :)

LOL Angi! I guess I am feeling very lucky! Looks like she is testing all the training skills you have!

Jamie, she isn't really testing or being difficult.. She has the softest sweetest expression on her face and is always asking if she is doing the right thing. I think she stomped a foot once yesterday. (which made Angi laugh)
She was willing to go forward when asked but it was tiny steps at first. Angi rewarded each step with her foot, she would inch closer, then pick up one foot, then got to where she would touch it with a foot. When she got to where she was comfortable putting weight on one foot in the trailer she moved on to her front feet.
It was such a windy afternoon the hay rack on top was singing, and when I put the saddle away the tack room door slammed shut.
Prosperity is 5 and on the cautious side. (we were joking that she was a bit like Symphony when it came to the trailer, but without the attitude.)
She has watched her buddy Aim and some of my horses disappear in that trailer. I hope we didn't set her back because Tiffany had been in the stall next to her, and she was calling to Tiffany when I left with her in the trailer last night.
