I was sorting the collection of things that are mucking up my desktop, and found a slideshow titled Mustang Makeover 2007 Sally? I do recall finding it somewhere but I don't think I ever ran it all the way because when I did now, I found this towards the end... For those of you who could not be in Texas or missed the quick shot on RFDTV of Angi getting a hug from one of the wonderful women behind this event, This is Angi after she found out we had won the bid on Freedom. This hug from Westlie was preceded by her hands covering her face and some jumping up and down. One might think Westlie hugged her just to get her to stand still ;D but I don't. The whole day horse, after horse had the trainers and their family and friends bawling. This is what getting to know these horses leads to, they offer you complete trust and in return they hopefully get love and commitment.
This is why you will find trainers asking "Who wants to adopt my horse?" because the hardest thing about this, the absolute hardest is to turn these horses over to an unknown adopter. They want to get to know you, to let the horse meet you, to show you all the things that make this horse, their horse so special. They want their horse to succeed, to bloom where it is planted...
So if any of you following the blogs are interested in a horse, or already hoping to adopt it, Contact the trainer and say hello.
Freedom's been living he life of.. well a horse the past few months. With Angi hurt and it being a windy winter, since the NWHA show in Oct he has spent it just hanging with his peeps. Now he is going back to work! He's headed to Lifesavers next week to play, and possibly a Demo for the Barstow, CA ETI Club on April 6th. Angi, Freedom and Prosperity were invited by Joe Misner who will be there with Pockets and Laredo. It sounds like fun!
