It has been a heck of a week. First my stallion, Zion, gets slightly colicky (we have had horrible, cold wind and he hates the change of weather) and it is impossible to find a vet. Everyone is out of town or busy because of the holidays. After what feels like 65 calls to different vets I find a one I have never used in Tehachapi. Kathy is on her way this direction to pick up a horse for a friend so she just brings her trailer here and we load Zion and haul the other Kathy along with us. Poor Zion is miserable but is a good boy for the vet even though he thinks it is odd that the vet wants to listen to him all over his body. He is a little squirmy but I think because he is secretly hoping this visit is really to meet new mares! The vet is great and decides to keep him over night to keep an eye on him.

Then Kathy loads up Free and Chester to take them to her house. Free gets a visit to play with Symphony, very cool. Three strong willed horses at one house, sounds like my kind of place. Oh,and the other Kathy got her first horse adventure........And finally got her new horse home at dark :)
