Saturday Sept. 15th
Free and I ride some more. He has almost quit altogether with the bucking at the lope. He is so nice on his whoa that I decide to test how well by taking his bosal off. When I mount I realize just how crazy this is but it is too late to change my mind right now. We walk around a little then I ask for a trot. While trotting I ask for a whoa, and boy does he do it :) He LOVES that word and it shows.
I hang out with him a bit after I am done riding. I am finding it increasingly hard to imagine Free not coming back here with me. Not only because I will miss him, but also because I am worried if the people bidding on him will realize just how special this guy is. I am not sure that I can afford to buy him. Beth wants to buy him also but again not sure on how much he will go for and if that will happen. If he tosses me than he might go for cheap :)----- but I am counting on him behaving himself. We shall see. I can only pray that whatever happens Free finds his home with someone kind and loving.

While you are in Texas, I will be at home agonizing over the outcome of Freedom's performance and his future. I have faith that Kathy will be watching over the auction and will intervene if necessary, the huge ENABLER that she is!

Hey Angi- I've been watching your journey with Free from afar and just wanted to say congrats on a job well done and I am SO happy that you can bring him home!
Reading your blog has inspired me with my own Mustang, which I also got in June.
Please keep us all posted on your progress!
