August 18th

I play with Free at liberty and our bond is getting stronger. He is now coming to me quicker and is happy to be praised. I am feeling shook up today when I get on him and I am only able to walk around. I was thrown yesterday from a horse I work and for some reason this has made me unsure today. I usually do not feel like this after getting tossed but for some reason today is different. I work on walking around and I play to music until I relax and then I get off. I am realizing that this is a good place to stop and I get off and rub him. Tomorrow is another day!

Angi,
Get a hold of yourself, girl! You are doing great. My thought... Take a quiet moment to evaluate Free, your relationship with him, his strengths and weaknesses, and your strengths. LIKE I SAID FROM THE BEGINNING, riding him does not have to be the big goal. Some horses may, by nature, be quicker to take to riding. That does not make Free lesser, in any way. Think of the best way you can present him - really focus on your strengths and share those with him. No need to push beyond anything. Think of what you've accomplished - the beauty of that connection cannot be measured in a contest.

Give Free a kiss for me.
